We are pleased to announce that our 2023 Business Breakfast series will kick off on Friday, April 14, at the Mid-Coast School of Technology (MCST). Please join us for a morning conversation with U.S. Senator Angus King, I-Maine. Senator King will share “10 Things You Didn’t Know About The Senate.”

The program:

7:30 a.m. | Coffee & Networking
8:00 a.m. | Breakfast
8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. | Presentation and Q&A

This event will also be recorded and live-streamed to area schools via ZOOM. If time allows, a Q&A involving those attending in-person and online will be facilitated.

Our host venue, MCST, will highlight the school’s value to our region and specifically to our local employers. Having a sitting U.S. Senator presenting in an educational environment may encourage a conversation around workforce development, the importance of higher learning for the trades, and collaboration between students and employers at an early stage. You won’t want to miss this opportunity!

This event is open to the public. In-person seating is limited and pre-registration and pre-payment is required (scroll down). Admission, which includes breakfast, is $35 for Chamber members, and $50 for non-members.

About Senator King  In January 2013, Angus King was sworn in as Maine’s first Independent United States Senator, filling the same seat once held by storied Maine leaders Edmund Muskie, George Mitchell, and Olympia Snowe.

A strong believer in the need for greater bipartisan dialogue and relationship building, Senator King is proud to join the long line of thoughtful, independent leaders from the State of Maine, and he works hard every day to bring Republicans and Democrats together to find commonsense solutions for Maine and America – frequently holding rib dinners for members on both sides of the aisle.

He is a proven consensus-builder who “calls ‘em like he sees ‘em”, putting civility and respect ahead of political ideology. Senator King is a member of the Armed Services Committee, the Select Committee on Intelligence, the Senate Veterans’ Affairs Committee, and the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources. He is also Chairman of the National Parks Subcommittee and Senate Strategic Forces Subcommittee.
