Bartlett Woods Retirement Community is pleased to announce the new appointment of Mark Bannister, LPN, to the position of Resident Care Director. Bartlett Woods is located at 20 Bartlett Drive (off Talbot Avenue and one mile from Rockland Ferry Terminal) in Rockland, Maine.
The Director supervises the Resident Care Staff, a team of 11 professionals, providing round-the-clock healthcare services seven days a week. The Director conducts assessment interviews, recommends service plans, and consults with both residents and their family members. In this new role, Mark will work closely with the Marketing Director in determining suitability for admission, and will monitor the quality of and satisfaction with services delivered to Bartlett Woods residents. The RCD also coordinates with outside service providers, vendors, and agencies.

Mark became a nurse in 2012 after graduating from Platt College in Tulsa, OK. After gaining experience, Mark took a travel nurse position and was able to explore the USA. In early 2018, he took a travel contract in Maine, fell in love with our beautiful state, and decided to make it his home. Having trained at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, and as a Navy veteran, Mark has a long history in the service and hospitality fields, which he brings to Bartlett Woods. Born in Texas and raised in Oklahoma, Mark is like so many other transplants from around the country that have felt the lure of and attraction to Maine. He currently lives in Camden with his husband Ben and their two dogs, Reilly and Roxie. “I am beyond proud and excited to join Bartlett Woods, and be able to contribute to almost 25 years of excellence this unique retirement community is known for,” stated Mark Bannister, LPN.
