“With a camera in hand as far back as I can remember, photography was ingrained in me at a young age. Growing up on a farm in Maine, between the acres of land and the animals we raised I was never short on subject matter. I was always outside and to this day nature is a constant source of inspiration in my work. Observant in my surroundings, I easily find beauty in the everyday.” -Brooke Chase
Pope Memorial Humane Society is currently open Monday through Saturday from 11 am to 4 pm, we encourage our community to visit the shelter and see both Brooke’s artwork and adoptable animals. If you are interested in exhibiting your work on the PMHS Art Wall, please email
