The Camden Public Library announces a new opportunity for the public to access free, one-on-one career help. Beginning May 23, a representative from the Maine Department of Labor’s Career Center will be available for meetings at the library on 2nd and 4th Mondays, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The Career Center will provide walk-in service for members of the community who are seeking assistance with job and career-related matters. The first dates of service are May 23, June 13, and June 27.
Career Center representatives can introduce people to job search resources; provide guidance for resume writing and interviewing; help locate a registered apprenticeship; identify training and education assistance; explain federal bonding information; and help veterans access specially designated resources. For more information about this service, contact Marie Curtis at 207-707-2818.
Additionally, the Camden Public Library is launching a new page on its website with links to a wide variety of job and career-related resources. The page will go live by the middle of May, and can be accessed by visiting the “Learn” tab on the drop-down menu at librarycamden.org.
