Come spend the afternoon gardening at Tanglewood 4-H Camp and Learning Center in Lincolnville! Tanglewood’s gardens provide educational opportunities for youth, as well as fresh food for our Harvest for Health programming.
We are seeking long-term garden volunteers, but anyone is welcome to join for the day. This event will focus on prepping the gardens for the summer. We will also offer a tour of Tanglewood and a seed ball workshop.Program Details:
When: Tuesday, May 31st from 2-4 pm down at camp
What to bring: Volunteers should bring water, snacks, sunscreen, bug spray and garden gloves.
We will provide tools and bug nets, but feel free to bring your
own. We’ll also have refreshments and snacks to share.

Tanglewood is a program of the University of Maine Cooperative Extension. The UMaine 4-H Learning Centers at Tanglewood and Blueberry Cove’s camp adventures and school programs are based on “Earth Connections,” nature discovery that helps youth become creative stewards of an interconnected world. We provide environmentally focused programming that inspires people to reach their full potential through learning by doing. The mission of Tanglewood and Blueberry Cove is to teach people from Maine and beyond to be effective and caring citizens of the earth through affordable environmental education and nature-based experiences.
