Are you a member of a nonprofit which needs to write a grant or needs help with the process? Whether you don’t know where to start or have begun on a grant proposal this class is for you. The “Writing Winning Grant Proposals” course presents strategies that nonprofit organizations can utilize to develop proposals for external funding by foundations, agencies, organizations, and corporations. The class spends two weeks on the “nuts and bolts” of writing a grant, a third week working on a proposal, with the final class a review and evaluation of the student’s drafts. Instructor Frank Burtnett, Ed.D. is a veteran grant consultant. At various points in his career, Dr. Burtnett was responsible for the generation of external support for programs and services through the preparation of grant and contract proposals with philanthropic organizations, government agencies, and independent gift-makers. Additionally, he has served as a proposal reader and evaluator for numerous philanthropic organizations and government agencies.
“Writing Winning Grant Proposals” meets at Camden Hills Regional High School, 25 Keelson Dr., Rockport, on September 12, 19 and October 3 from 6:00-8:00 PM (class on October 3 will go to 9:00 PM).
