Steel-Pro Incorporated is excited to announce the recent purchase of 12+/- acres in Union, Maine. Continued, steady, growth for Steel-Pro has created a need to look for a new location that is large enough to allow for additional production space. There is currently no set timeline for a move as the new location will require development and construction of the new facilities. The purchase of this property adds security to the strong future of Steel-Pro and all its employee-owners.

According to Thomas Kennedy, Director of Business Development, The Union property will have more parking, more laydown area, an increased overall building size, and improved efficiencies with new technology and automation. “This location brings us further inland and will allow us to pull talent from new labor pools that were previously limited by our location on the coast.”
Steel-Pro is currently hiring for welders, grinder/polishers, and general laborers. All employees are part of an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) and the company is 100% employee-owned.
The existing structures on the new property will be demolished in the near term as Steel-Pro works towards further developing the site. There is no plan to reuse any of the existing structure.

Steel-Pro will continue production in the Rockland location while developing the new facility in Union. As of now, the post development future of the Rockland facility has not been decided.
