Staff Development Courses at MCST Adult Education

Whatever the strength of your business, helping workers develop new skills will help your bottom line. Mid-Coast School of Technology Adult Education is an affordable resource offering opportunities for those who what to keep learning after the workday ends.

Expand your reach into digital spaces with Introduction to JavaScript in Web Browsers, an in-person workshop (Oct. 5 & 6) on how to build interactive websites using JavaScript. No prior programming experience is required for this class that will give students a basic understanding of the programming concepts necessary to begin developing your web page.

Excel 2019 – Basics & Intermediate (Oct. 6 – Nov. 10) meets weekly to present official course material approved by Intuit & Microsoft for the Windows 10 Desktop. New users will learn the basic setup and use of spreadsheets and experienced users will refresh their skills. This course provides the MOS certification pathway (no expiration) for interested students, and students may elect to take the official exam when ready.

Malicious software can impact your organization. Ransomware and Other Emerging Technology Threats (Sept. 20) can bring you up-to-date on the technology controls directly related to ransomware prevention. Using newly published prevention guidance, the 1-hour class will teach you how to protect your organization.
