“Managing Turbulence: A Poetry Sampler” at the Cushing Public Library

November 4, 2022

The Camden Conference and the Cushing Public Library will host “Managing Turbulence: A Poetry Sampler” with poems selected by, and facilitated by Ellen Goldsmith, on Sunday, November 20 at 1:30pm. This event will be on Zoom and open to all. Please email wrobertsmaine63@gmail.com to register. Registration opens on November 1.

In turbulent times, whether personal, social, political, where do we turn? Through the ages, poets have inhabited this territory, finding paths of inquiry and discovery. This year’s poetry session for Camden Conference Community Events will feature ten poems—classic and contemporary—presented by ten readers. Together the poems and readers’ perspectives will create a collage of ideas and emotions. The poems will be available to everyone on the Camden Conference website in advance.

This event is held in anticipation of the 2023 Camden Conference, Global Trade and Politics:  Managing Turbulence, to be held live the weekend of  February 17 – 19, 2023 at the Camden Opera House and live-streamed to venues in Portland, Rockland and Belfast.  See camdenconference.org for more information.
