As the days get shorter and cooler, we know that fall is here, and inevitably winter will follow. Though that means cold and snow, it also means the holidays! Start the season with the annual Festival of Lights Craft Show hosted by Pope Memorial Humane Society. Two thousand twenty-two marks this Midcoast Maine tradition’s 42nd year! The show takes place on Saturday, November 26th, at the Rockland Elks Lodge (210 Rankin St in Rockland) from 9 am to 3 pm.
A suggested donation of $2 is asked at the door, with all entrance proceeds going directly to Pope Memorial Humane Society. The Elks Lodge’s kitchen will be open and serving lunch for purchase. Over 40 artists from all over Maine will showcase unique one-of-a-kind products such as ornaments, jewelry, pottery, candles, clothing, holiday-themed items, and so much more. Additionally, there will be a silent auction, bake sale, and the opportunity to purchase the cookbook “Recipes to the Rescue,” a collection of recipes from the Pope Memorial Humane Society community. You will be sure to find something for everyone on your list and feel good about supporting local homeless animals this holiday season.
Proceeds from the Festival of Lights Craft show will go directly to providing food, medicine, care, and shelter for homeless animals in Pope Memorial Humane Society’s care.
