Several new classes have been added to the January and February adult ed schedule this winter, adding to the ones which were already featured in the fall-winter catalog. Added classes include: a Free Registered Maine Guide Training Information Night on January 3 at 7 PM over Zoom (the full course begins January 24); Carving the Blue Winged Teal Hen Sleeper at CHRHS beginning January 5 at 6 PM; and Explore Pottery and Clay with Randy Fein, a 2-week intensive at CHRHS beginning January 10 at 5:30 PM. Computer teacher Mike Wilson has added several more of his 1-hour Zoom classes to the January and February schedule, and career respiratory specialist and breathing expert Carole Freeman has added two extensive classes offered over Zoom at a choice of two days and times each: Manage Stress and Build Resilience beginning January 16 at 5 PM or January 17 at 10 AM; and Build Energy and Endurance at Any Age beginning February 6 at 5 PM or February 7 at 10 AM.
Other winter classes are: Indoor Golf Center Orientation at MRC, 9 AM on January 4 or February 15; Indoor Golf Skills Class, also at MRC beginning January 4 or February 1; Fly Tying 101 at CHRHS beginning January 4 at 6 PM; Oil Painting Open Studio at CHRHS on Tuesday January 10 or February 7, 6 PM; Edible and Medicinal Mushrooms of New England at CHRHS on Tuesday January 10 or February 7 at 6:30 PM; Medicare 101 over Zoom on February 9 at 5 PM; Ski Lessons for Beginners at the Camden Snow Bowl beginning January 25 at 11:30 AM; Tai Chi for Beginners and Qigong, both over Zoom beginning January 11 – Tai Chi at 10:30 AM and Qigong at 3 PM.
