Samoset Ice Bar is open

January 13, 2023

A quintessential wintertime tradition you just can’t miss: the Samoset Resort’s annual glacier ice bar. Sculpted out of 50,000 pounds of ice (yes, you read that right), the ice bar has been a massive draw since 2014. “Everything is made out of ice: the bar, the barstools, the sofas, the chairs, the tables, glasses that you can actually drink out of, even the logos for sponsors, who we couldn’t do it without – all made out of ice,” says Scott Luper, regional director of food and beverage at Ocean Properties.

Set on the patio outside the restaurant lounge, these icy presentations premier every January for two weekends, drawing tourists and locals alike to sip on the coldest cocktails around in one of the most unique settings.

This year is a special one for Opal’s Annual Glacier Ice Bar – we’re celebrating the attraction’s 10-year anniversary.

Samoset Ice Bar is open January 13-15 – that’s right, a special three day event – and January 20-21, 2023.

Admission Tickets: $25 per person. Limited number available.
