Ice-Carving Teams and Doggie Fashion Show Pups wanted at Camden Winterfest on January 28!

January 20, 2023

Have you ever wanted to try ice carving? Winterfest is your chance to transform a crystal-clear block of ice into a sparkling sculpture! No experience is necessary and all tools will be provided.

You can sign up for an ice block on your own or with a group, school, or organization. Thanks to generous support from First National Bank as well as individual sponsorship from staff members at Camden Public Library, we have reduced the price to $60/ice block for each team. To sign up, fill out the application form at

Once you’ve signed up, you or your group will plan out a design for your ice sculpture on paper. During Winterfest, professional ice carvers Tim Pierce and Hector Pietra-Santa will rough out the design from your 300-pound block of ice using a chainsaw. You’ll then turn it into your own masterpiece with traditional ice-carving hand tools. It will remain on display in the Amphitheatre for as long as the ice lasts!

Ice carving not your thing? Get excited for the return of the Doggie Fashion Show at Winterfest! Dressed-up pups and their humans will line up at the designated place in the Amphitheatre at 12 PM during Winterfest. There will be fabulous prizes as well as a special award ribbon for the first 30 dogs to participate.
