For those looking to discover what is under the hood of one of our most necessary tools, Automotive Technology offers a basic understanding of your automobile as well as a possible launching pad to affiliated careers or further study at a community college level. MCST Instructor Tom Vannah teaches the basic theory and diagnostics of the following topics, aligned to ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) standards: Foundation and Safety, Basic Engine and Auto Transmission Fundamentals/Service, Steering System and Suspension, and Brakes. After six weeks, take home a solid understanding of lubrication, fluids, tires, vehicle maintenance, and how systems work.
