Are you ready for First Friday at the Farnsworth?! Join us Friday, May 5, from 4 to 7 p.m. as we kick off the first event of the summer. Admission is free, so this is the perfect opportunity to stop by and see our new exhibitions!
The event, part of the Arts in Rockland First Friday Art Walk, offers free admission to the public to the Farnsworth’s galleries. This is the 14th consecutive year that First National Bank has sponsored the event for the Farnsworth, allowing for free admission to all.
The Farnsworth Art Museum, now celebrating its 75th Anniversary, offers a nationally recognized collection of works from many of America’s greatest artists, with 20,000 square feet of gallery space and over 15,000 works in the collection. It has one of the largest public collections of works by sculptor Louise Nevelson, while its Wyeth Center features works of N.C., Andrew and Jamie Wyeth. The National Register-listed Farnsworth Homestead; the Olson House, a National Historic Landmark; and the Gamble Center for Education complete the complex.
