The Camden Garden Club of Maine is pleased to announce the first annual Lamppost Sponsorship Program is an overwhelming success and is now closed. As a result of our sponsors’ generosity, the Club will provide fifty flower baskets enhancing twenty-five of the town’s lampposts and provide one hundred wreaths on the lampposts during the holiday season. In late May, the sponsored lampposts will post tags thanking our sponsors for collaborating with the program.
All funds raised through this endeavor benefit the Camden Garden Club’s civic programs, not only the seasonal lamppost decorations but flowers in the traffic islands, bridge and arbor boxes, maintenance of the Village Green, a tree program for Camden residents, and our Winter Horticulture Series featuring top experts in horticulture, garden design, ecology, and related topics. Once again, the town of Camden, both the business community and residents, is working hand in hand with the Camden Garden Club to create and maintain Camden’s unique character and beauty.
The Club will also thank our sponsors in the Camden Garden Club 75th Annual Garden Tour program, which will serve as the tour ticket on July 20.
The oldest garden club in Maine, the Camden Garden Club cultivates the art of gardening to its fullest sense, develops and preserves beauty in and around Camden, and promotes civic improvements, education, and conservation of natural resources.
