Sweetgrass Farm Winery & Distillery Father’s Day Event

June 9, 2023

Head for the hills this Father’s day, Sunday, June 18, from 11 am to 5 pm, that is the hills of Union, and raise a glass of wine, cider, or spirits to Dad on this special day.  Sweetgrass will be unveiling its new heartbeat of production and offering a special tasting of ‘rested’ gin in the distillery.  Don’t miss tasting Sweetgrass’ new Maine Apple Wine or Cherry Hard Cider made from local organic apples.

York Hill Farm Creamery, maker of goat cheeses from Washington Maine, will be at Sweetgrass for this special day.  Chefs turned cheesemakers Josh Fratoni and Yuki Goseki, are using their talents to produce cheeses with a style that sets them apart; cheeses that are creamy and fudgy balanced with a buttery sweet milk flavor.  Their Dairy Duet cheeses are Chèvre inspired fresh spreadable cheese with a green apple tang. A duet of milks blends creamy grass fed organic cow’s milk with the sweet milk of Nubian and Alpine goats.  Their Dairy Duet Roll cheese is spiral rolled in flavors of Black Peppercorn & Garlic, Green Peppercorn & Nutmeg, Dill & Garlic, and Chive & Aleppo Chili.  Don’t miss their new Curds & Whey cheese and their Burnt Basque Cheesecake with a caramelized top and creamy center that melts in your mouth.

What could be better than a ride in the country, Maine wine, cider, spirits, and York Hill Farm Creamery cheese?

No cost to attend the event however there is a fee for tastings.  Cheeses are available for purchase.
