Phil and Karen Clark, of Endless Summer Flower Farm in Camden, and Marina Sideris and Cooper Funk, of Dooryard Farm in Camden, are delighted to announce the sale of the Endless Summer’s dahlia business to Dooryard Farm, effective July 1.
Phil and Karen have been growing and marketing their dahlias for over 25 years. Last year, they decided they were ready to stop and smell the flowers, so to speak. Hoping that the business might remain local, they approached their neighbors at Dooryard Farm to see if they would be interested in taking over. After many hours of talking and learning about the business, Marina and Cooper decided the dahlias would be an excellent addition to their diverse organic vegetable crops and growing farm stand.
“We’ve made so many wonderful friends over the years and they will truly be missed,” wrote Phil. “Some of them have been coming since day one and we’ve come to know their families.” Happily, those same friends and customers will still be able to find Phil and Karen’s dahlias just down the road at Dooryard Farm, located at 208 Mechanic Street. The new dahlia field at Dooryard Farm will be open to the public to walk through and see the varieties. Fresh cut dahlia blooms will be available for sale at the Dooryard Farm farm stand, and tubers will be available for mail order shipment or local pick-up next winter.
