The Rockport Garden Club welcomes John Fromer as a guest speaker at the July 6 meeting. John is the program director for Merryspring Nature Center. His topic will be Garden Flowers to Stunning Arrangements. The program will begin at 1:00; the club meets at the West Rockport Baptist Church.
John oversees Merryspring’s many educational programs. He aims to make Merryspring an even more valuable resource to our neighbors and local communities.
Mr. Fromer has contributed to the activities at Merryspring as a volunteer coordinator, guest lecturer, class leader, and trustee of the Nature Center for many years. He also has developed and led a series of horticulture classes at the Midcoast School of Technology. In addition, he and his wife, Kathy, are both Maine Master Gardeners and have grown custom flowers, vegetables, and herbs at their Appleton Ridge Farm.
