Chamber Board Elects Officers For 2022

January 27, 2022

Sheila Lowe of Union has been elected as Chair of the Board of Directors of the Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce for 2022.  Lowe replaces Jeff Hamilton of JA Hamilton Consulting in Rockport as the Chamber’s Board Chair.  Hamilton had served as chair for the past year, and did not seek re-election to the post, although he remains on the board.

Lowe is an Employee Benefits Producer for Allen Insurance and Financial. She was elected to the Chamber board in the fall of 2019 and began her three-year term in January 2020.  Lowe served as Vice Chair of the Chamber board in 2021.

Other Officers elected to one-year officer terms for 2022 by the Chamber board include Vice Chair Jake Miller of First National Bank, Secretary Sandy Cox of The New England Real Estate Company, and Treasurer Steve Matteo of Camden National Bank.  Hamilton will also serve on the Executive Committee as Immediate Past Chair.

The Chamber board also welcomed three new board members to their first meeting, after having been elected to the board last fall.  New board members include Maggi Blue of Magpie Creative and MCH, Inc, Martha Kempe of Wayfinder Schools, and Jake Miller of First National Bank.  These new board members replaced three board members who ended their terms in 2021, including Zach Herrick of Edward Jones Investments, John Viehman of United Midcoast Charities, and Lisa Weiss of the Hawthorn Inn.

Ten additional board members continue their terms on the Chamber board in 2022, including:

Chris Austin, Ardiah Managed Services
