The Rockport Public Library’s “Let’s Feel Better” series continues on Wednesday, March 1, at 12:00 p.m. with a presentation entitled, “Exploring Meditation.” Caroline Saxe-Cobaugh, RYT-200, will provide a brief history of meditation, talk about why people meditate, and lead a short series of seated meditations appropriate for all abilities.
Caroline Saxe-Cobaugh trained at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health and has been practicing yoga and meditation for more than 20 years. “Meditation is an ancient practice that calms the mind and opens the heart,” says Saxe-Cobaugh. “All it requires is willingness and attention — so, why aren’t more people practicing meditation?” Saxe-Cobaugh, plans to examine this question in a friendly community setting.
The program is free, open to the public, and will be hosted in the Rockport Room on the library’s lower level. No pre-registration required. Visit rockport.lib.me.us for more information about this and other upcoming programs from the Rockport Library.
