In anticipation of a busy Thanksgiving travel week, the Amtrak Downeaster is encouraging passengers to book tickets early. The busiest travel days are typically the Wednesday before and the Sunday after Thanksgiving so reservations should be made as soon as possible to assure availability.
The Amtrak Downeaster will operate four round-trips between Brunswick and Boston on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 25, 2021. Complete schedule information is available at AmtrakDowneaster.com.
Tips to ensure a smooth trip:
* Customers are encouraged to arrive 20 minutes before departure, especially if parking and picking up tickets.
* Customers are required to wear a face mask that fully covers the entire mouth and nose, fits snugly against the side of the face, and secures under the chin.
* For only $26, cats and small dogs (20 pounds or less) are welcome on the Amtrak Downeaster in a pet carrier.
