The Craignair Inn and Causeway Restaurant are pleased to share some big changes/upgrades that were recently completed at the inn and restaurant.
The first, and most exciting, is that ReVision Energy installed 47 solar panels estimated to produce over 20,000 KwH of power annually which, when combined with Craignair’s 4 Tesla Powerwall batteries, will be able to cover the majority of the hotel and restaurant power needs.
In addition to that, they have removed the old oil burning heating system and installed a super efficient new self-condensing propane boiler which will dramatically reduce the property’s dependence on oil and reduce its carbon footprint overall.
Earlier in the year, a new deck space and private guest room balconies were added. The deck space is now enclosed and heated and will be available for restaurant seating and events all winter long.
