Boo Box was our first venture into a themed box of donuts last year. For this year we kept two donuts from last year’s Boo Box & added two new ones. We challenged ourselves to outdo last year’s Boo Box & I’m super psyched at what Team Ruckus (it was a team effort) came up with.
All four donuts are different favors:
Spider’s Nest is chocolate & vanilla, featuring a vanilla glaze with chocolate Italian buttercream filling topped with a chocolate & brownie covered donut hole “spider.
Jack O’Lantern’s glaze & buttercream filling is made from roasted sugar pie pumpkins with just the right amount of pie spice.
Witch’s Cauldron is actually our Boston Creme (we’re calling it Boston Scream)! A chocolate glazed cauldron filled with vanilla curd & all kinds of candy potion ingredients (note – every aspect of our donuts is edible) It even has a pretzel stick to stir it with!
Last but certainly not least was the undisputed star of Boo Box 2021 – the Maple Mummy. We take local organic maple syrup & glaze the donut with that, then bandage thoroughly in maple buttercream.
