Locally known businessman Jim Gamage of 180 Sealcoating and Striping has been busy this fall and winter planning a tourism event for the Caribou area. SnowBowl 2023 promises thrills and chills for snowmobilers and snow lovers alike when the winter celebration kicks off March 2-5 in Caribou.
The thrills at the first-ever event will be supplied by a RaveX freestyle stunt show, Northeast SnoCross racing and Monster Truck rides. In addition, a casino night at area restaurants will include a grand prize, and winners of the snowmobile poker run will share a $4,000 pot.
The chills will come at a giant snowman-building charitable fundraiser, a historic snowmobile ride and when clubs compete in a Groomer Rodeo for the title of Aroostook County’s Best Groomer.
Recovery Aroostook, a Caribou-based nonprofit that serves those with substance use disorder, and other charities will benefit from the event. Follow Spud Speedway on Facebook for more detailed information.
