This spring and summer, At Home Modern Weaving Studio led by Bobbie Tilkens-Fisher, will be offering an array of tapestry weaving workshops as well as a weekend-long retreat in August. Workshops are open to all skill levels, and there will be a kid’s program as well. The Thomaston studio offers a light filled, inspiring place to learn and boasts amazing views of the St. George River.
Private and small group lessons can be arranged directly with Bobbie.

About Bobbie and At Home Modern Weaving Studio:
I am a modern tapestry weaver specializing in large wall hangings using bold color, abstract designs and sumptuous wools. My work challenges the notion of weaving as a 2-dimensional art form, while dismissing many of the “rules” of this traditional craft.
My studio is an oasis of light and color and offers perhaps the best views of the St. George River in mid coast Maine! I created it with the intention of making a space for me to create, and for others to learn my craft comfortably.
If you’d like to visit the studio, discuss a commission, learn to weave or shop for looms and fibers, please call, text or email. You can find more information about classes and workshops on my website.
